2014-2015
The 2014/15 season for AS Roma was largely successful, with the team finishing in second place in Serie A, behind champions Juventus. They finished the season with 70 points, winning 17 of their 38 league games, drawing 19 and losing just 2. They also reached the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, where they were eliminated by Fiorentina.
The standout player for AS Roma that season was their captain, Francesco Totti. Despite being 38 years old, Totti was still able to contribute significantly to the team, scoring 8 goals and providing 8 assists in 22 league appearances. Edin Dzeko, on loan from Manchester City, was also a key player, scoring 8 goals in 31 league appearances and providing several important assists. Miralem Pjanic provided creativity and energy in midfield, contributing 6 goals and 6 assists in 34 league appearances. Defender Kostas Manolas was solid at the back, helping Roma to have one of the best defensive records in the league, and also chipped in with 2 goals in 33 league appearances. In goal, Morgan De Sanctis had a good season, keeping 12 clean sheets in 30 league appearances.
Overall, it was a successful season for AS Roma, with many of their key players performing well and contributing to the team's strong league finish. However, they were ultimately unable to keep up with the dominance of Juventus, who won the league for the fourth consecutive season.
