Argentina is among the great powers in the world of football. The country has won the World Cup 2 times in 1978 and in 1986 and the team has played another 2 finals in 1990 and in 2014. Some of the greatest players ever to play the game have come out of Argentina like Di Stefano, Maradona, and Messi. Argentina has also won a number of Copa America tournaments. As of lately Argentina have not had much luck though. Last Copa America victory is all the way back in 1993 and the last World Cup win was in 1986. 2014, 2015, 2016 the team has reached the final but lost all three after very narrow losses.
