Tottenham Hotspur with the nickname Spurs is an English soccer club from North London. The club was founded in 1882 and was considered as being among the "Big 5" of English soccer after the Second World War and until the foundation of the Premier League in 1992. The club's motto is "Audere est Facere" (to dare is to do). The club is playing at home on the stadium White Heart Lane in the London Borough of Haringey. Tottenhams' main rivals are Arsenal and the matches between them is called the "North London Derby". Since the late 19th century the Tottenham kit has consisted of a white jersey, navy shorts, and white-navy socks. Thus another of the club's nicknames: "Lilywhites". The name and number kit to go along is usually navy/white.
